Inference broke through for a maiden win at the highest level last time out and remains the outright $3.40 favourite in 2017 Rosehill Guineas betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Inference stamped himself as a colt to watch through a smart spring preparation and ended his year with consecutive third-place finishes in the Group 3 Ladbrokes Classic (2000m) and Group 1 Victoria Derby (2500m).

Resuming this time for fifth in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m), the So You Think colt stormed home to win the Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) on heavy going a fortnight ago.

Neither Prized Icon nor Gingernuts are yet to herald much interest in 2017 Rosehill Guineas betting markets, but the pair remain locked on the second line at generous $6 quotes.

Prized Icon broke through for his first win at the highest level in the Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m), but took a few runs to find form upon resuming in spring.

Running third behind Yankee Rose in the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes (2000m) in early October, the More Than Ready colt was luckless when fifth in the Group 2 Moonee Valley Vase (2040m), but responded in the best way possible with a dominant win in the Victoria Derby.

Working to the line well to finish sixth in the Hobartville Stakes first-up this time, Prized Icon stormed home to finish second in the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) a fortnight ago and will relish a step up to 2000m on Saturday.

Gingernuts is yet to make an appearance in Australia, but the gelding has undoubtedly been the standout three-year-old in New Zealand and is more than worth consideration for a bet at his current Rosehill Guineas odds.

Resuming this time for fourth in a Stratford minor over 1200m, Gingernuts failed to fire when tenth in the Michael Stemmer Barrister BM65 (1400m) on January 20th, but responded with a smart win in the Nicholson Autos BM65 (1600m) on January 30th.

Making a successful transition to black type company when a comfortable winner of the Group 2 Avondale Guineas (2100m) on February 18th, the Iffraaj gelding was last seen savaging the line to win the Group 1 New Zealand Derby (2400m) by a length.

Gingernuts has drawn ideally into the Rosehill Guineas field in barrier 4 and will be partnered by leading Kiwi hoop Opie Bosson.
